Zoo Lights

On Wednesday we celebrated Christmas with the Wells side of the family. After a day of pigs-in-a-blanket, swapping gifts, chowing down on stocking-candy, a yummy roast lunch, and eventual napping, we headed out to the Gulf Breeze Zoo. Every year they set up Christmas lights and we had never been before and knew Sarah would absolutely love it. Well, turns out we were right! The girl had a blast. It also happened to be one of the coldest nights that year, so we had to bundle up nice and warm for the outdoor show.

Here are some photos from the evening, and as a special treat there’s a video at the end!

Christmas Eve Eve

Hope you all have a great time celebrating Christmas over the next few days. We will be spending our time with friends, family, and occasionally just the 4 of us!

Tonight we are having brinner with some friends, and probably getting some good laughs in while watching Christmas Vacation and playing cards :)

Lastly, pictures, because I can’t help showing off our sweet girls!

We can’t get enough of those two!

Yes, We’re Alive

I know, I know, I disappeared for a few days since my last update. All I can really say is that we’ve been crazy busy, and a busy/tired mamma = lack of posts.

The past few days I’ve been visiting family in St. Augustine, which made for some cute picture opportunities with Sarah and her cousin Graycie.

Yep, you guessed it, that is exactly what this post will be filled with. Enjoy!

A Few Days with Uncle Matt, Aunt Helena & Cousin Graycie

It was such a nice trip and it was great getting to love on my sweet niece for a few days, I just wish I could see her everyday! While hanging out at the pool on Tuesday I was asked by a few different people if the girls were twins. Silly girls loved playing together. Can’t wait until they get to see each other again :)

The last week of March our good friends Sara, Jordan, and their little man Jairus stayed with us at Casa de Ringl. I can not tell you how fun it was to have them in our home for a week. They are going to be spending a lot of time traveling the US to raise support for their move to Uruguay next Spring to be missionaries, so we’re trying to get as much hang time as we can :)

I’m pretty sure Sarah loved having them over even more than I did! She had SO much fun playing with Jairus and stealing each others sippy cups. The week after they left Sarah searched the house for days looking for them. She would knock on all the closed doors so I had to keep them open so she could see the rooms were empty. Poor girl misses her buddy.

Here they are hanging in the kitchen…

I can’t believe it’s been almost a year since Sara had Jairus! The kids are exactly 2 months apart, March 6 (Sarah) and May 6th (Jairus). It was a blast being pregnant together and now we are raising our kiddos. Wow, we’re adults! haha

Here we are 11 months ago…

and 2 weeks ago…

Wow, those two have grown, and I need to get some under eye concealer. Babies can give you bags under your eyes… just a forewarning to all your lovely ladies out there ;)

The Bush family are now busy traveling north, west, east, and then south again sometime later this summer. All I know is I can’t wait to hug their necks again and squeeze on baby J. He is such a love bug and our little Sarah misses him like crazy.

It had been a long time since we’d had houseguest, so it gave me a reason to clean our guest room. I suppose I should have thanked them for staying with us and forcing me to clean, haha.

Having friends over is fun. I totally recommend you try it out. Let me know how it goes ;)

Babies & Birthdays

This past weekend we were able to celebrate another little birthday with some awesome friends. One of Sarah’s best buds, Rory, was born a week after she was so the girls share the same birthday month. They threw a fun party that the kids had a blast at. With all the running around and goofing off they wore each other all out and took some great afternoon naps (which is always a bonus in my book)!

We had a wonderful and fun time watching the kids celebrate Year 1 with balloons, cupcakes, presents, and even a piñata! I’m especially excited that Jill, Scott, and Rory are moving right down the street from my sister in law! Talk about play date central!

It was a fantastic party watching all the kids run around and chase balloons while knocking each other over. The weather was absolutely beautiful, and that always makes me extra cheery.

I honestly cannot tell you how incredible and helpful it has been having a friend with a baby the same age as Sarah. Jill has been such an encouragement to me when I have questions or am having a rough day. We texted each other at all hours asking one another’s opinions and advice. She was probably my biggest encouragement when it came to nursing and not giving up during the hardest points. I can never thank her enough for that!

On another note, Sarah is still adjusting to the time change and has been sleeping in until 7-8’ish, which I’m 1000% okay with! Of course seeing that she is our alarm in the morning it maaaaaay mean we slept in Monday morning. Oops. Live and Learn.

First things First

I’m an AUNT !!!!

This was my brother and sister last night…

This was them this morning…

Then, just before they wheeled Helena away…

(I told her no one should look that good just before having a baby)

Not 30 minutes later this cutie pie joined the world…

Meet Grayciella Faith Wells, born August 1, 2011 at 12:30 pm, weighing 6lbs & 10oz

She is absolutely beautiful and healthy as can be. Such a sweet answer to so many prayers :)

Just a guess, but I think he’s in love…

More pictures to come, I just wanted to post some for friends and family to see ASAP!! :)

We will be visiting the Wells, familiy of 3, before we head home tomorrow. I can’t wait for Sarah to meet her sweet little cousin!!

Goodnight everyone!
