I did it people. Today I completed something off my to-do list! Time to grab me a pen and scratch that thing off. It’s a good day in the Ringl household.
Not only did I finish something off my list, but I did in on the cheap. Actually better than cheap, it costs us zero dollars, zero pennies, not a cent, nada. The perfect costs for any project (gotta love christmas gift cards!!)
This here is my kitchen. Or well, part of it.
That is the cabinet to the right of our stove. We keep all of our spices and cooking things in there. I figured a good idea would be to make that cabinet even MORE useful.
Here’s what I was thinking… You know all those cookbooks you have stashed around the kitchen?! Perhaps even recipes printed out, written on notecards or sheets of paper?! Ya, I have them too. The thought I had was that every time I want to find a recipe I have to search through all my recipe-stashes to locate it. Why not have 1 place where I keep my most used recipes. Never go searching again, and never worry about losing them (especially my mom’s spaghetti from scratch recipe, dang that stuff is good)!
With that I bring you my latest DIY accomplishment:
First: Get some cork board
Then: Install ’em
Now go find your favorite recipes, grab some stick pins and attach them. Then you’re done! Doesn’t it look fantastic?!? No nails needed either, since most cork board packs come with adhesive.
There ya have it. Completed project #1. Aren’t you proud? Heck, you don’t have to be proud, I’M proud of myself!!
