This past week Sarah has been growing and learning like crazy. It seems like something happens after month 3 where they start picking up new tricks constantly.
It was bound to happen and she’s going at it like crazy; our girl has learned how to eat her feet! She doesn’t just pull them towards her head anymore, she now sucks on them like they’re her fingers (which also means she is getting more baths)! It’s like watching Cirque Du Soleil, but with a 4 month old and no ones wearing a leotard.
Another newbie on the list, she is currently cutting 2 teeth. Her first teeth have also brought on some new tricks. Drool has once again increased, in volume and stretchability(it’s like a waterfall)! She will suck/chew on anything within reach. Most recently, my arm while I hold her. She’s also started a new form of talking/screeching. It’s like a highish pitch scream. It’s short, to the point, only done occasionally, and definitely gets your attention! I’m hoping these teeth will cut quickly. I have found 2 on the top and I’m hoping the bottom few I feel are just bumps in her gums, she doesn’t need a mouth full of choppers just yet (in my breast feeding opinion).
Her napping schedule has also gone all crazy and chaotic. Some days she will nap for 2-3 hours (twice a day), and others she will maybe give in to 20 minutes of shut-eye. On the days she naps less she tends to sleep longer at night. Up until the past week or two Sarah was sleeping through the night. The past 2 nights she has gotten up twice between 12 -5 to eat. I’m thinking she must be going through (another) growth spurt!
Alright, enough baby-talk for now. Here are some snapshots of our 19 week old.
I love this weeks growth picture!
I finally caught her laughing on camera!
Poor guy didn’t have a chance when she pulled him close
Not even her own body parts can escape her sucking powers
I don’t think I”ve ever had weekly photos so accurate to her new learned skills. This skill of course is using her tongue and mouth on as many items as possible.
