Christmas: All Wrapped Up
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas. While playing a board game on Sunday night I had a sudden realization that the next day was Monday and Stephen would be getting up and heading to work in the morning. Yes, a usual routine, but because he was off Thursday & Friday I got used to having him around during the day. I was spoiled with quality hubby time, and it was great!
On Friday, Christmas Eve, we had some friends get into town and decided to have some hangout time. We all met up at our friends, Brandon and Nicoles, and had Christmas Eve Briner! With ‘Christmas Vacation’ on in the background we busted out the 3 waffle irons we brought and had a delicious feast. Here’s an example: my Christmas Eve Waffle:

After dinner we played some cards, a new game that was brought to us from a friend in Texas called “7-up, 7-down” (I just call it “Texas”). Then Stephen and I drove home so we could get some rest before our busy Christmas day plans.
Here are a few pictures of our Christmas activities.

I couldn’t resist this when I saw it
Stephen loves it!!

Stephen got me this fun shirt:

Last, but not least, stocking time!!

We opened our stockings last and Stephen did a great job of filling mine with my favorite candies!!
How was everyone else’s Christmas? Did you do anything special? I know I especially can’t wait until NEXT Christmas. We had so much fun thinking and talking about how different and exciting next year will be with baby Ringl around

Those are some MEAN looking waffles… And by mean, I mean TASTY… And by tasty I mean, filling… And by filling, I mean nap inducing… Nap inducing = Mean… You see the math right?
Well WE had a WONDERFUL Christmas… The only thing that could have made it better, would be:
a) spending it with all you guys, and
b) if it lasted a LOT longer…
Dude, these waffles were so delicious, and the ‘butter-holes’ were crazy deep!
“I like waffles better than pancakes. Because waffles, are like pancakes with syrup traps. They say to syrup, ‘Hold On! You ain’t going anywhere, don’t even be trying to creep down the sides. Just rest in these squares, if one square is full, move on. When you hit butter, split up!’”
I recommend we have a WAFFLE NIGHT the next time you are in town. YUMMMM
I have been catching up on your blog posts… Sadly my visit to see you has yet to make breaking news :/ ha. Hope your doing well. Miss you. Cant wait til your shower!!
Girl, your visit made me WEEK! You can see I’m already falling behind (and baby Ringl isn’t even here yet)
