Dresser Up-Do
For some reason when I wrote “up-do” in the title I pictured a beauty salon with women sitting in those chairs with the hair dryers over their heads while they read magazines. Weird.
I have a project I’m working on and I’ve completed the first step, but due to rain I can’t move on to step two just yet.
I’m taking this dresser we have had in the nursery closet and giving it a much needed update. It started as a not quite honey color, and it needs that something special.
The dresser fits perfectly inside the closet, so I will be putting it back in there for baby-item storage, and since that room is now going to be the nursery I want it to fit in. We are using white furniture, but because this piece won’t be as out in the open I’m wondering if I can get away with adding some color. I was leaning heavily towards painting it grey, but I’m just not positive. I’m sure it would look great stained, but I’m trying to through this project without buying any new materials. We have white primer, grey paint, yellow paint, and an abundance of paint samples.
I’ve sanded the dresser down, so now I just need to decide how I’m going to beautify it.
